This notice describes the information the current beta handles and the controls enforced by the application. It is an operational disclosure pending final legal review, not a promise that unavailable features are already active.
Capitol IQ may handle public-account credentials and preferences, saved records, watchlists, corrections, support requests, security and audit events, and Candidate-claim evidence. Official candidate facts and their provenance come from identified government sources. Claim evidence and private contact details are not public profile content.
Information is used to provide requested account features, investigate corrections and support requests, review authorized profile claims, operate security controls, prevent abuse, and maintain durable audit history. An account or claim does not change official-source facts and does not create publication eligibility by itself.
Public pages expose only approved public fields and source context. Authentication secrets, sessions, private claim evidence, private Candidate contact details, internal support notes, and security logs are excluded from public APIs and pages. Candidate-provided statements are labeled separately from government-sourced facts.
The beta uses contracted infrastructure for hosting, databases, rate limiting, and operational monitoring. Transactional email and internal media delivery remain disabled until separately configured and certified. Providers receive only the information needed to operate the applicable service.
Available account controls include session management, privacy preferences, saved-record management, and requests for account-data export or deletion. Some requests require identity or retention review before completion. Source-backed public records may remain available when lawfully published by the source authority.
Use the Support page for privacy questions, corrections, or suspected unauthorized access. Do not place passwords, session tokens, or unnecessary sensitive documents in free-text support fields.
